Queensland mines submit their Minerals Annual Statistical returns through the GSQ – Lodgement Portal at the end of each financial year. The submitted data is mapped and stored in the GSQ – Geoproperties data warehouse. Georesources Intelligence team integrates the data into Azure Synapse Analytics in multiple distributed tables. The distributed tables are then used to populate a customised live data view for Spatial Information team to create the Critical Minerals Investor web page map (CMIWP). This data is then imported into a Postgres ESRI geodatabase using the values in the latitude and longitude columns to spatialise the data. Nov 2024 - Data reviewed by GSQ and revised schema implemented to remove fields no longer required and/or containing data of unacceptable quality
June 2025 - Data supplied via Azure view to Spatial Information. Due to a change in requirements and deliverables, the data now includes mines that produce coal and minerals. The field of FY_Submission (Date) has been removed and replaced with the field Production Period (Text). The date is no longer only for the financial year and can include extra quarterly data. Dec 2025
Field for mineral group was changed Commodity classification to avoid confusion with the Resources Projects data having the field mineral groups to distinguish between the different type of mineral projects. Layer was also renamed to resources producers due to the change in data and this data is now being used for the new Experience builder Resource Investor Map.
